The simulation strip

Once the 3D grid is created and reservoir properties are generated (this functionality, available on the modeling strip, is not discussed in this chapter) you might want to prepare the model for reservoir simulation. JewelSuite Subsurface Modeling has the functionality to upscale the grid in order to reduce the number of grid cells if that is needed for the simulator.

The simulation strip contains the functionality to prepare the simulation deck for a number of different simulators. Once a deck has been prepared you can submit it to the simulator. The simulation results will be imported automatically into JewelSuite Subsurface Modeling, where you can analyze the results in the 3D view or display them in different cross-plots.
